Wauw, what an honor to be allowed the first post on this blog! I'm posting this from China. That doesn't sound as amazing as it actually is- not the fact that I'm in China (which is obviously pretty damn cool), but the fact that I can even get on a site with 'blog' in the name. I've struggled a few hours today with getting this blog and facebook to work with me, changing stuff in my computer I didn't even think existed. 10 points for whoever knows VPN, DNS and remote server addresses and ports.

Yes, it is quite boring. Sorry 'bout that.

I really wish today's story were a 100%-success-story, but I guess what doesn't kill you... To keep it short, 'airport pick up' meant waiting 6 hours on a metro station with a German girl I didn't know, waiting for some guy I didn't know to show up. When we got hungry I ventured out into the city of Beijing whilst my friend (you wouldn't believe how quickly you make friends this way. Try it!) watched the luggage. I found some meat on sticks that looked kind of acceptable, and bought a few of them (4! No, 4! eh, 1, 2, 3, 4, yes? 4 stick! Sankyou!). German girl and I have decided never to find out what it was- good stuff though. I have some nice noodles and a nice roomie waiting for me, so good night to all for now from this wonderful room that will be my house for a month at least!
